should be fine - your connection speed doesn't matter nearly as much as your pings do. games are pretty lightweight on how much data gets sent as a client.

Yeah, check your ping though - do a speed test (speedtest.net, broadbandreports/dslreports have them), and it'll give you an idea. if it's well over 100 ping or something, you're probably going to have laggy play.

I play first person shooters (sometimes) with as much as 250 ping, and while it's not ideal, it's playable. Playing a football game could be kind of disorienting with lag if people are jerking arond the screen, but remember that the ping you got was the ping from your house to their site. Are you American? Because the site probably is. 300 ping to a site in another country doesn't equal 300 ping period.Just play with people closer to home and you'll have much lower ping. I have as little as 5 ping on UK servers while playing Team Fortress 2, but if I try a USA server, I can expect over 200.

135 ping is totally playable, so if you're playing with other people in India or near India, you should be fine. And even if you do try and play with people farther away, like America, 250-300 ping isn't unplayable. I don't know how FIFA 09 online works exactly, but I think you should be totally fine if you can ping at 135 for playing with people in India and many or most other Asian countries too.
Its just Depends which Country the Server is or which country the Person who hosts the game is in..

yes and no - like fatshodan said, the closer you are to home, the better your ping will be. in FIFA, you might not even notice 100 ping, but 300 would probably be noticable.

if you have other friends in your area that you want to play with, your connection would be great. if you're trying to play with people in the US, it might be a bit wierd... it's pretty hard to know for sure without being there, though!
whats the internet speed required to play fifa 09 online.i already have 512kbps,but still i feel its slow, the reflexes are slow, when i press the key it reacts after 2-3 seconds, can anybody help..thanks
You should be FINE to play Fifa 09 online man.WIth that beign said, if you play people from Germany,UK or Japan say, and you are in Canada or USA, you will get more let obviously then if you wher eplaying someone in USA or Canada. I still have had some games against people frmo UK and they ran pretty good to.So yes you will get some laggy games sometimes, but most the time you should be good! Especailly if the people are fom yoru country, or not half way across the world.Very fun game btw!

I get lag when i play people form Brazil or Germany.
