Battlefield 2 connection problem :S

So I havn't played BF2 in awhile but I have never had this problem. I did get a new graphics card the gtx 260 16 core from EVGA and I try to play BF2 but I get an error ''sorry cannot connect to the servers check your network settings''. I have all my ports open, I have updated graphics card, patched game, even reinstalled the game multiple times. I don't know what else I can do I never had this problem. If anyone knows any solutions thanks in advance!My specs aregtx 260 16 core4 gigs of ram2.66 intel core duo E6750Windows Vista ultimate 32 bitI dont' have anything overclocked either. it sounds like a firewall problem, check if your firewall isnt blocking the game? whether its windows firewall or a particular firewall you have.

Already tried that. I have had this same firewall for years and it has never given me a single problem with bf2 before hand not sure why 1 day it decides too. Its not possible that getting a new graphics card could cause this is there? I am just assuming this is just a couincidence and nothing more.
If you have a problem with a game always check the OFFICIAL forums first. Checking here will get you no answers more times then not. I know BF2 was having problems recently with their matching servers.
I bought battlefield 2 pack with expansions. i also installed the latest patch. For some reson when i try to play online it says this server does not allow mods. Problem is i did not install any mods.... HELP ME!!!!!
