Makes no difference when you buy it. All the additions in the enhanced version is a free update to anyone that owns the non enhanced edition. The witcher purchasing advice
get the enhanced editionthe box and extras are brilliant
There is a problem with the Enhanced version... both the patch and retail. The game becomes blurry after you activate a conversation with any NPC. There is a hotpatch for it, but, for me it messed up the sounds for the FMV's, including the introduction.Anyway....if you want the unedited version, then I suggest buying the British version of the game, and patching it with the 1.4 EE patch.http://www.gogamer.com/The-Witcher--I--Uncensored-Edition-for-PC-Front-Page_stcVVproductId23661470VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htmAlso to note... patching the game to 1.4 takes forever. At least an hour; could have been more, I installed the patch before I went to bed, so I don't really know how long it took. But after 45 minutes it was still patching, and when I woke up the next day, it was done.As for the blur, it's liveable (you'd likley not notice it, if I hadn't said anything, or never played the pre 1.4 patch version), as for the messed up sound it isn't liveable... the Hotpatch works for a lot of people though, but if it doesn't, Blur is better than skippy sound. The only problem is that it takes forever to patch. There is one extra thing with the patched version though.... After patching to 1.4, you don't have to have the disk in the DVD drive, anymore. Where as if you buy the retail version, you do need to keep the DVD in, to play.

Makes no sense. As for this aforementioned problem, it doesn't necessarily effect everybody. I have not had the issue of blurryness after conversing with an NPC, ever.

The patched version comes with it's own NO-DVD crackHmm, it also seem to be about 20 dollars more for the retail enhanced uncensored version.... So, there is another reason... http://www.gogamer.com/The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition--I--for-PC-Front-Page_stcVVproductId50886692VVcatId444710VVviewprod.htm Although whether it's worth 20 bucks to not go thru the headache of patching and inserting the DVD to play.... That's up to you.
