well, its a real pity, but not many games bring out demos these days. i think its one of the main reasons for piracy, but thats another matter.burnout paradise has a free trial, unfortunately its a massive download though.try trackmania nations forever, its not a demo, but a full game. dont be fooled by the fact its free, it has top notch graphics and stuff.definitely try the world of goo demoall the splinter cell and lara croft games have demos, i think.fps: crysis, battlefield, bioshockif you like rts, theres demos for sins of a solar empire, company of heroes, world in conflict, c %26c What are some good demos to download?

I was thinking this, there used to be epic PC game demos all the time. Now barely any. I would say wait for the Empire Total War Demo

CoD4Company of Heroes

Yeah, I just read that on CA's boards. Tomorrow at 10am CDT. Ready your bayonets men.
My favorite game right now is Gunrox. They have a free download at w w w . gunrox . U SBut thats just me.
I have over 100gigs of games on my external hard drive. (counter strike source, far cry 2 - amazing, mirrors edge - amazing, need for speed pro street, need for speed undercover, bioshock, saints row 2, hitman blood money, star wars knights of the old republic 1%262 - I hated them, star wars battlefront 2, dead space, gta: sa, race drive GRID, fallout 3, doom 3, Oblivion IV, medal of honor airborne, the lord of the rings conquest, cod 2, cod 4, orange box, assassins creed, crysis - loved it, bf2, bf2 special forces, rainbow six vegas 2, cod world at war, company of heros, left 4 dead - amazing game, and probably a few I can't remember). Personally, I love first person shooters and good racing games. Out of all those I mentioned, I love far cry 2, crysis, call of duty, and the orange box. The racing games I have are ok (I can't decide between grid and nfs:undercover), but they don't offer very good mouse support. I can't set shift up and down to my mouse thumb buttons and that's the only reasonable place to put them. Btw, why get demos when you can get the full version ;]
awesome thanks for the replies, I haven't played that many older games either so old game demo recommendations are good too. :)
