I'm getting Gears of war - collectors edition , wanted to know how good the game is in single play as with story mode.
I won't be playing Multiplayer.Gears of War - Single player experience

Whats the length of game in storymode ? Is that as big as GTA 4
And 360 controller is as good as kb mouse
I thought the single player got abit boring. Fun, nevertheless.

It was pretty decent. The weapon selection sort of leaves something to be desired, but the chainsaw is a nice touch.

[/QUOTE] Half Life: Shoot combine, use gravity gun to solve puzzle, vehicle sequence, shoot more combine. Repeat. Crysis: Shoot Koreans, walk around island, shoot aliens. Boring F.E.A.R.: Walk down dark hallway, shoot guys, scary Alba sequence. Repeat. Boring. Bla bla bla... I don't hold hose opinions on those games I listed, but any game can be boiled down to ridiculous levels and made to appear dull. Regarding GoW, the single player campaign is very good. Aside from the action (which is visceral and well done), the game has a decent story that is integrated well into the gameplay. The levels are varied and offer different challenges with a variety of boss fights, defend positions, run and gun, and tactics such as advance on heavily fortified positions.
