I've been using my current pair of headphones for about 5-6 months now. I take good care of them, never throw them, or mishandle them in any way, but lo and behold, the microphone stops working.
My current pair is this: http://www.amazon.com/GameComPro1-PC-Gaming-Headset/dp/B00067WKMI/ref=pd_bbs_1?ie=UTF8%26s=videogames%26qid=1235371113%26sr=8-1
After 4-5 pairs over the past 4-5 years though, I think it's time for a new type of headset. Troube is I've been using the same kind for so long, I'm a tad ignorant about what's out there. Basically, I'm looking for comfort and definitely reliability. A good pair of headphones with a built-in good quality mic for a fair price. My spending limit is 50-60 dollars. The ones sold at Best Buy are way too expensive, so any tips would certainly be appreciated.
Thanks guys.Looking for a good pair of reliable and comfortable gaming headphones w/ mic
Your not going to get much in that price range that is out of this world quality, btw the best headsets don't have mics. I rock a hd280 and my friend rocks a hd555. I hear good things about these tho http://www.kesstek.com/product.php?productid=19868Looking for a good pair of reliable and comfortable gaming headphones w/ mic
Try the Microsoft Lx3000 there really cheap and quite good Quality too..
I've been through a lot of headphones as well. However, I've been over a year using my Sennheiser HD555's, and they still sound good and are a lot more comfortable than any headphones I've had previously.Zalman makes a clip-on mic that sounds pretty good. I just ended up using that. You can clip it on to your headphone wire, so it's almost as good as being integrated to the headset itself.
