Fear 2 ending

It sucks. That is all. Fear 2 ending
Hooray for totally pointless topic? :DFear 2 ending
I found it pretty daring. No other developer would have the guts to do something like this b/c of their FEAR of the media. Please blog your personal opinions.

The ending is fine....stop expecting every ending of every game to tell you EVERY detail of EVERY plot and leave EVERY question answered....

pheww...all in one breath !!!
Surely the FEAR 2 ending can't be as bad as the NWN OC ending: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjmMewz9VrU%26feature=related
lots of worse endings, it was just ordinary.
The FEAR 2 ending was likely the best Ive ever seen in an FPS.So many interpretations, not to mention a bold risk by the developer given the current political and legal attitude towards games. There is a ton to discuss about the game's ending, as well. Quite honestly I think the FEAR storyline rivals that of Halfife. Yes, I said it lol.Great game btw.

Care to expand on that? cause the only interpretation I got was *****SPOILER: that the character gave Alma a child**********

And sorry...but not even close to the HL story......

Its not as good as the HL story, but it is damn close. With that said, the player was raped; he didnt so much give Alma the child as take it from him. As I mentioned before, thats a bold move in today's political climate concerning games. And the execution of that scene was just so well done. When you through the third and final switch, Alma vaporized and the character climaxed at the same time...go back and replay it, download fraps, and watch it. Its clear that the ''explosion'' came from the player's loins. As for the story (both FEAR and FEAR 2), there was a lot of thought put into it and all the characters. Alma just isnt another little-girl-with-long-black-hair-ripped-out-of-Japanese-horror-movie. Alma has a story, she has a life of her own, and she is a tragedy; for being such a destructive force, you still wind up siding with her and feeling sorry for her. She just wants justice and a child to keep.First, she was born for one purpose. Second, she was impregnated artificially, multiple times, with DNA from multiple donors (one of which including her father), so thats borderline incest right there. Her first baby (the player's character from FEAR 1) was taken from her and was a disappointment to Armacham in terms of psychic ability. The second lived up to their expectations (Fettel), and later escaped.Did I mention that she was in a chemically induced coma this whole time? And, while giving birth to her first child, she woke up screaming ''my baby, dont take my baby'' or something like that. She has known no love, though one could argue Fettel loved her, but that is a stretch considering she manipulated his mind.So then she got angry (she was 16 years old at the time iirc, this was in the late '80s) and started doing horrible, horrible things so her very own father placed her in a psychic-prohibitor dohickie filled with embryonic fluid where she would drown. But s he didnt. Well, she did, but her mind willed itself on. So now you got this concious teenager in a dark, lifeless sphere angry as all hell. So what do they do? They freaking bury her alive! I think according to the story Alma is close to 40 years old (or should be, I think she stopped aging) at the time of FEAR 2.Im just gonna stop now because I dont think I am doing a good job; go to some forums and they can do a more thorough job, in addition to providing some interesting debates considering the less concrete aspectsLet me just close with this: FEAR and FEAR 2 are both tragedies. Sci-fi horror tragedies, but tragedies none the less. You see the viewpoints from all sides. Alma needs to die, yes, but at the same time you want Alma to get her revenge. More importantly, FEAR is a good study in psychology. Its interesting reading all the backstories, exploring the levels (the school level, where you go inside only to find its a huge secret lab where they force-fed kids pills and studied them, complete with a hidden elevator to a dark pit of a lab) is interesting, and more.***END SPOILER***Sorry, but I Just think th e two FEAR games are, in five years, going to be extremely underrated. Youre gonna ask people what their favorite shooters are and theyre gonna be like ''Quake, Doom, Halo, and Halflife'' and no one will mention FEAR, and thats a shame. And for those of you pondering whether to get it or not, I will save you the suspense. FEAR 2 is not as good as FEAR 1. OK? But its a damn fine game on its own.

I've only played the original FEAR, but the ending gave me the impression that the main character was actually the one controlling the army through that chamber thing (that's why he's so incredibly powerful, because he has an infinite army of soldiers. When one dies, he's transferred to one nearby). The girl is just a manifestation of his subconscious to try and help him realize that he's being used.
is it worse than halo 2's ending?
