Oblivion Cheating on Vista PLZ HELP!!!

When I got my Vista back in September I installed Oblivion and two things happened:1. The computer would not recognize any of my mods I had downloaded and installed.2. While in the game I would press ` and the cheat console would not open. Anyone out there have a solution? What are chat codes?
he means cheat codes, just mispelled it
and i say that if you beat the game you should be allowed to use cheats

1) [URL=http://timeslip.chorrol.com/obmm_download.html]Download Oblivion Mod Manager.[/URL] Chances are your mods aren't working because you don't have them installed correctly, or they aren't enabled properly in your esm/esp manager. Follow the guides at that site.2) You probably don't have the console enabled in your Oblivion.ini. See [URL=http://www.tweakguides.com/Oblivion_11.html]here[/URL] to get it working.

Vista is SO GAY It won't let me save the Oblivion.ini file after I've modded it to say bAllowConsole=1

Well i wonder if you can help me i have vista ultimate and the console will not come up when i play either....I tried what you said and it didnt work stillpls help
I just posted this reply on another forum so i will copy and paste Are you running vista, i had the same problem with the IR reciever interfering with oblivion i uninstalled the CIR Reciver in harware managment and the console opens now, iam just wondering if there is a fix that doesnt require you to uninstall it every time you play, as restarting the computer reinstalls this driver, maybe it could be a shortcut or and communication with the computer that interferes. all well it works for now, and is a good temporary fix for the moment, hope this helps
I could never get Oblivion mods working with Vista.
