small problem steam/flash

My problem is, for some reason since this afternoon steams frontpage, where there's the flash animation thing, or atleast where it's supose to be it just appears as a black box and under it says undefined... now i tried installing flash player 9/10 several times, upgrading IE to 8, updating activeX and everything but is still shows as undefined, every other flash website works on both firefox and IE (newgrounds, youtube etc), only getting the undefined on the steam website and application....
is this a bug? is this steams fault? am i doing something wrong?

I had this prob once. But reinstalling both Steam and Flash player 10 solved the problem. I did Steam reinstall first, then Flash.

I have a question for you if you don't mind. If you uninstall steam, then reinstall, do you have to reinstall all of your games?
well, i ''repaired'' steam through the steam installer and reinstalled flash player 9 then back to 10 then updated....still....
I think it's your firewall. I'm having the same problem and I just haven't been bothered to fix it.
i have no firewall here except the windows one and it use to work fine...it just *stopped* working all of a sudden

If you don't have the answer - First take backup (simply COPY) of steamapps folder and steam.exe to another location other than your Steam installation folder. then uninstall Steam. delete the steam folder. Re-install Steam. But don't start STEAM yet. COPY backed up folder and Steam.exe to newly installed location. Now start Steam. All your games will be available. No need for re-download.
I have the same problem with Steam's storepage. I don't intend on fixing it until the next Bioshock sale.
Here's the thread http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=806645 I made at forums, and the answer I got from a Valve employee. It's not the client problem. They have some problem with this at their side, seems as they have some some troble fixing it when looking at the reply I got.
