Mirror's Edge official forum is not working to me, it loads forever until there is a timeout issue, it has been like this for several days but it's probably my 3G crappy internet. So, it was the nearest forum and I thought to give it a try to see if anyone else has been experiencing this kind of issue. I tried to play Mirror's Edge with a gamepad from Genius Maxfire G12U ( http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41EqXPfjt8L._SL500.jpg ) and the game basically got bugged. The gamepad did not work with the game since it kept rotating the camera around, the configuration is fine, it works on several games including very recent ones with the vibrating feedback and the two analog sticks. The camera keeps spinning around whenever I try to play with my gamepad so I decided to play on keyboard + mouse again which actually works better for me (The only reason of trying a gamepad is because a friend who is wanting to play and basically hates keyboard/mouse combo and really sucks with it). The game no longer works adequadely! Faith only jumps shortly making it impossible to jump large distances or a higher wall, I've tried to reset the controls, reinstalled the game and applied the most current patch but still, nothing worked, my other games are working just fine. The
EA support is USELESS, they said my gamepad isn't compatible with Mirror's Edge and I should buy a new one so they sent me few recommended models and no hints on how to fix my game, I am not using any crack or 3rd party mods/stuff like that. They also said there are known issues with Vista x64, okay there are issues but how did I play this game just fine through the 7 chapters just fine and now it's like this? I really appreciate any help. Thank you. Help with Mirror's Edge vs Gamepad screwed it all
Return the controller and buy a wired Xbox 360 controlller. Works great with any ''Games For Windows'' games. Which is pretty much all games in the last two years.Help with Mirror's Edge vs Gamepad screwed it all
yeah since your friend loves controller so much he prolly owns a 360. have him bring over one of his wired 360 controllers and use that. dont forget to download the drivers.
After you gave up on the controller, did you play the game while it was still in the PC? it can cause problems for some games. And the camera spins for one single reason, the game is not compatible, and since it's not fully compatible and yet it still works to a certain degree, it interferes with its default controls, and it could cause the same problems when you play with the mouse and keyboard. It's as simple as that the only reason for your problems is your gamepad, not the game and I personally hate GFW for that part, the games are playable, to a certain degree (most gamepads still work but not great), only on an XBOX controller, which I have but I don't use since I'm used to PS like controllers.
I don't think they make wired 360 controllers anymore.
